Today was a travel day, back to Lima, so not much sightseeing. After a leisure morning, we went to the airport, and the plane left 23 minutes early. I have never had that happen before. I suppose everybody expected was aboard, so no point in waiting.

In spite of arriving early, there was not enough time to go see more sights in Lima, so I have a few things to do if I ever go back. In the evening was the farewell dinner for the Peru part of the trip. Ecuador and the Galápagos Islands were part of an extension that not everybody signed up for.

I am not sure why Lima named its new airport after a pilot, Jorge Chávez, who died in a plane crash.
