In the morning, we went out nature-watching on the Amazon. That include some stops in piranha-infested spots. They really are voracious; as soon as you let down a line with some bait in the water, they were biting. There was no delay at all.

After lunch, we went back out for a little more nature-watching, including spotting some dolphins. Then we had a visit with some Yagua, which included a blowgun demonstration. The visit is at an area set up for that, not their community but a historic recreation, and they are compensated for it, so it is not a direct view of their current lives, but it is not entirely artificial either. Two of the kids brought their pets, a monkey and a sloth. There are currently about 500 members of the Yagua tribe. They wear skirts and headdresses to help dispel mosquitoes, because that is quieter than slapping at them and hence stealthier for hunting.

Back at Ceibo Tops, there was a presentation by a shaman that was more interesting than I expected, with information about what he uses various plants for.
